The former First round draft pick Ced Bensons' troubles have not left him alone. Now the Bears RB has to answer for a nasty arrest stemming from a boating while intoxicated charge. Benson however, states that he wasn't intoxicate and stands that the police were harassing him for no better reason than that they don't like the 1st round bust. Watching from the outside I would have to say that I can believe the fact of police officers abusing a black male ( whom is a millionaire) or falsely arresting a black male ofr their kicks. Only time will tell as to what really happened that day, but Benson has a card. Whether its a trump card or not who knows, but Benson reportedly has a video capture of the incident. Which should shed light on what happened and identify any of the policemens transgressions. |

Ced Benson to Fight Charges

First Day Picks
Where should I start? Chris WIlliams Left Tackle from Vanderbilt. A finesse tackle who uses his footwork and hand techniques over power. A steady force at Vanderbilt WIlliams shouldn't have to wait to get his chance at LT as the Bears will undoubtedly move John Tait back to his natural RT position. After severing ties with Fred Miller in the offseason.
The debate can begin with who will be the starting RB for the Bears this year. Benson the incumbent is thought to be on his way out as a 2005 bust. One of many Bears RB taken in the 1st Round since Neal Anderson left to acquire the dreaded title. Forte once thought of as a strong runner inbetween the tackles who lacked a burst. Silenced his critics with a blistering 4.42 at the combine. Removing all talk of moving the 6'2 222 to FB. Now that Forte is wearing the Chicago navy and orange Bears fans hope to see a burst. Something we have all missed since the "A" Train still resided in Chicago. As no Bear RB has had a TD of over 50 yards since Thomas left.

Rookie Mini Camp Starts today
Although closed to the public. This event marks the beginning of a new season and hopefully we can all forget the massive disappointment that the 07 Bears made us endure. Last night 12 drafted rookies, ten undrafted free agents, and some invitees arrived at Halas Hall. With a singular ogjective, to make the Bears roster. While some of the Bears drafted rookies will get the opportunity to show why they were indded drafted. Don't forget to check out the undrafted rookies. Every year someone who may have slipped on some teams draftboard doesn't get picked for whatever reason in the NFL draft.
